Hello everyone

I have this hard disk not turning on. Infrared camera shows up the 88i8845C-BHG2 main controller IC shorted.

- What are my chances to do a successful recovery?

- If the controller IC is shorted, how can I recover the BIOS/Firmware so the HDD can operate with another PCB?

... What do I do now?
