Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC — powers on, no display on any system — repair candidate?
Hoping to get some guidance before deciding between repair and selling for parts.
Card: Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24G (originally in an NZXT Player Three Prime prebuilt)
What happened: PC was shipped via FedEx during a cross-country move. The glass side panel on the case shattered in transit and shards spread through the interior. After the move, no display.
Symptoms (confirmed by a local repair shop):
- GPU powers on (fans/lights come up)
- No display output on any system they tested it in
- No visible physical damage, but they couldn't inspect under the heat shroud
- Glass debris observed around the GPU shroud area
Based on "powers on, no display, no visible external damage," does this sound like a typical VRAM or power-delivery fault, or something more terminal? Trying to decide whether to mail in vs. sell for parts.
Appreciate any and all advice!
