I have an iphone 12 pro max with a smashed screen and broken speaker (still powers on and you can hear charging ping) and an ipad air (gen 3?) that is locked (I naively assumed previous owner had factory reset). I would like to send these devices to Alex as a donation to be used for parts as thanks for the ongoing youtube videos. However, he mentioned several times throughout his videos that he has policies in place to avoid receiving junk.

I have been watching his content for about a year now and looked through the website and cannot find any criteria that Alex has set for donations. I would hate to spend money on shipping, only for Alex and family to assess it as junk and toss it out. If anyone could chime in, that would be great.
