The mount is heavy duty and is made out of cast iron. it comes with 4 long screws. The mount attaches to the wall and is used to mount the Amscope or NorthridgeFix microscope articulating arm to the wall instead of having it on the bench. That solves the problems of Microscope shake and vibrations caused by movements on the bench.
