My brother’s G713 has a no life condition. No power from battery or power adapter showing on LED. Removed motherboard and found no shorts on main power mosfets. Located short across all caps on power circuit near CPU. Removed 220uf cap (C66000) that was getting warm on thermal cam. injected 1v and it drew down 3amps of current. Heat spots lit up the top of the processor. Assuming internal shorts on CPU and must replace entire motherboard?
