hello guys, i have a PS5 that was brought in to our shop because it was dropped (assuming while PS5 was ON), with the hdmi cable plugged in, so the hdmi cable and port were damaged during inspection, so we took it apart and replace the hdmi port, (i have done this many times), however after testing the PS5 does not give any signal if i connect a new hdmi cable to the tv, however i have a computer monitor with cable adapter from dvi to hdmi in which the PS5 works on, however the image sometimes glitches, so i though maybe something wrong with the hdmi, so i went and soldered another one but the same issue, only display when connecting to a computer monitor with cable adapter (dvi to hdmi), but not when connecting hdmi to hdmi (TV), so i dont know wtf? any suggestion will be highly appreciated it. thanks in advanced.
Hi, have you checked you HDMI cable is 2.0 or above? I had the same issue (not on my PS5 but my Xbox Series S). Took me a fair bit of time to find out it is caused by my HDMI cable. The cable won't say it's 1.4 or 2.0. You need to try all cables you have in your drawer. Hope it helps.
intereseting!!
does anyone has an idea where to look for in order to repair this, i tried different hdmi cable as suggested aboved, but still have same issue. thanks in advanced.
