Hi, everyone! New to the forum.
I am using this Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact from July 2018, no repairs done on it until December of 2021 when I wanted a new battery. Sent it to a shop that promised original battery (they are working with ASWO), received it from them with a battery lasting less than the 3.5 year-old one.
Couple of weeks ago, phone's screen separated from the body in a corner. I thought the replacement battery inside had swollen and was pushing the screen, so I went personally to the shop and showed them the phone for a warranty repair. They said the repair might take up to 15 days. I was never notified of any progress in the repair process, so I came back to them after 13 days. When I came into their shop, they gave me the phone with the screen-body bezels bulging of T7000 glue, more such glue spread around the whole phone and a screen that is ununiformly and too deeply glued to the body. They also gave me the box for the new battery they had bought.
So I called another shop to find out if the battery was actually original (U50066922) and they confirmed it was, while the part number I was seeing around the Internet (U50047051) was directing them to an older revision of the same battery that is not being produced anymore. My supposition here is that the original battery (U50047051) was produced as long as the phone was, but after the phone production was halted, a cheaper revision was made (U50066922) with less capacity: 2200 mAh, instead of 2700 mAh of the original. I am consistently measuring 2200 mAh for both replacement batteries in both AccuBattery and in Xperia's Service menu.

They also mentioned, I cite: "Sony adhesives are usually very thin and should only be used in optimal mediums: rooms with everyone wearing gloves, phones be fully cleaned, everything around as clean as possible. Otherwise, they won't hold, these are 1mm adhesives. Not too few times we bought new, original adhesives from ASWO and had the screen get detached almost immediately".
What solutions do you guys propose for these issues?
Regarding the battery, I found some Cellonic aftermarket ones in Germany, but they unfortunately don't deliver outside of the country. Absolutely any advice here would greatly help.
I saw B7000 on this website, but I have no idea whether or not that is water and heat (up to 100 C) resistant. It also might not solve the screen height issue. Maybe an E8000 might be useful?
EDIT: My post may not be clear: I know how to open the phone up, but that won't be neccessary. What I am asking for is what products might meet my expectations and how would I use them (in the case of an adhesive)?
Bump, I probably created the thread in the wrong subforum.
Also, an update: I think I figured out how to properly glue the screen. This video: https://youtu.be/LwtMCpJ9BzA?list=LL and the original Water Resistant adhesive from Sony, which can be acquired without a problem.
I can't help you on the battery part. If you need an original battery, The only reliable source would be to Buy it directly from Sony if they can sell you one, otherwise you have to accept whatever you can get your hands on regardless if it's a 2200 or 2700 capacity. B7000 is the way to go. You can make it as thin or thick as you want. Try not to be too picky or too paranoid. Adhesive will never be like factory and water sealing is almost always not guaranteed.
Sorry to revive this old thread, but wanted to mention that the B7000 that shop installed ended up not being strong enough to hold down the screen. The screen lifted, as the top speaker's contacts pushed on the mainboard and the glue that was attached in the screen's corners as small blobs gave in.
I opened up the phone, since the camera stopped working after their intervention in April. The camera bracket showed signs of prying to get the camera out, while all was needed to be done was remove a screw and simply pull out the mainboard to get to the camera.
In any case, after a camera replacement, the camera app was back working. I tried simply reattaching the old one, but no change.
Back to the adhesive, I ordered some original adhesive and applied heat to it. The screen was glued almost like factory, except for the fact that the positioning of the screen was not quite as out of the factory. Did not test for waterproofing, but a suction cup could not open the screen.
EDIT: As to the battery, turns out the battery was original, but Sony simply seems to be repackaging old cells and selling them as "new", manufactured in current dates. I will probably be able to confirm this soon, since I ordered some charging circuit to charge the battery cell directly at its terminals.
The b7000 glue used must be fake. We Use b7000 and it's better then factory. You have to clamp the iPad from all around to get a good seal and leave it clamped for ew hours, otherwise you're wasting your time.
