I have an iPad Air 2 A1567 that connects to iTunes and pretends to charge (but doesn’t charge) only one time per boot.

If I disconnect and reconnect the iPad to a charger or iTunes a second time after booting nothing happens.

If the iPad is turned off it will wake up and start booting if I plug in the charging cable.

What I did so far:

  • Factory settings and updated iPadOS
  • Replaced battery
  • Replaced battery connector FPC
  • Replaced charging port
  • Replaced Tristar

Unfortunately nothing changed the situation with this iPad.

I hope someone can drop me a solid solution for this.

check below the touch fpc connector under a small shield. i had one with a short on the line for the u4003 stinger ic which stopped power up from 0%, worked with a new batt but no touch. clearing the short fixed 100%

@phonecell-uk First of all I would like to thank you for your feedback and your suggestions regarding my problem.
I have now checked all lines leading to and from the U4003. I couldn't find any shorts. All coils and diodes are also ok.
The situation is still unchanged:
• Connection to iTunes only possible once per boot
• No charging possible
