Hi Myself Niranjan,

Recently, I bought second hand iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017).
My IMac facing suddenly frizzing while startup sometimes it starts up normal, while I opening app launcher or safari or anything I did that’s it it will freeze again… screen will off but, CPU will still in running mode but, nothing will shows in display… than it will reboot same again…

I did my research quite a while on it…

by changing the rams but no use, even I tested the rams using memtest boot… ram passed the test without any errors…

even I applied new thermal paste on cpu and gpu though no use…

i did reset the pvram and changed the SSD also… nothing useful…

lastly psu is only item left to change but it’s expensive…

and idk what should I buy… psu

but while doing booting whatever outside of operating everything seems fine(like installing OS & testing memram); but once it’s operating system on running that’s it freeze.

beginning I thought it’s graphic card issue but I might wrong… idk yet!

i end up spending alot on it…

Can you please sort it out… I am big fan of you… but I lives in Uk…

Give some suggestions regarding this issue

Thanks

This might sound stupid, but have you tried a different wall outlet? Sometimes they can cause all sorts of issues.

Did you say you have tried changing the CPU or just the GPU? Have you tried viewing the thermal temperatures of the components?
