Introducing the long-awaited NF.Flux Premium Flux
NF.Flux is the next evolution in precision soldering. Engineered for professionals Our new NF.Flux is a game changer for electronics soldering and repair. Unlike traditional rosin flux such as Amtech 559, this resin based flux can withstand higher heat without breaking down, burning, or evaporating quickly making it more stable and reliable for demanding soldering work. It also produces less smoke and odor, creating a cleaner and safer workspace.
NF.Flux is RoHS3 compliant, meaning it’s free from hazardous substances restricted in electronics manufacturing, and it meets the J-STD-004B standard, which ensures consistent performance and reliability under strict industry guidelines. These certifications are important because they guarantee both safety and environmental responsibility, while giving technicians confidence that the flux delivers consistent results. With its superior heat resistance, reduced fumes, and full compliance with international standards, NF.Flux offers a clear advantage for professional soldering and repair.
Resin flux is used in electronics soldering and repair to help create clean, strong, and reliable solder joints. Its main jobs are to:
- Provide stability under high heat, since resin flux doesn’t burn or evaporate as quickly as rosin flux.
- Improve solder flow so the solder spreads smoothly and evenly.
-
Cleans and Removes oxides so solder can bond properly.
-
Protect against re-oxidation during soldering by forming a protective layer.
- No-Clean: the post-soldering residue is designed to be non-corrosive and non-conductive, eliminating the need for mandatory cleaning to prevent damage to the circuit board. Cleaning however is always recommanded.
Because it withstands heat better, produces less smoke and odor, and stays active longer, resin flux is especially valuable for precision electronics work, microsoldering, and repairs where reliability and safety matter.
Resin flux (synthetic resin) is engineered to handle higher temperatures without breaking down quickly. It doesn’t evaporate, char, or burn as easily as natural rosin flux. Under normal soldering temps (about 220–260 °C), resin flux stays stable and active. If overheated well beyond soldering temps (e.g., >300–350 °C for prolonged time), it can eventually burn or carbonize, but it gives off much less smoke and odor than rosin flux.
