Greetings everyone,
I have a problem, how to fix Samsung S9+ with water damage that when charging doesn't have any sound to speakers but does into headphones?
Also when playing for example YouTube and plugging in charger the sound works until i pause the video for 3-5 seconds, then I need to unplug charger, wait a while, play video and it works.
Any help appreciated (phone was dried and motherboard checked for corrosion on surface, motherboard was dropped in isopropyl alcohol and cleaned, still same issue persist)
Best ragards
Also worth to mentition that it happens when I connect just USB-C > USB-A dongle, so probably maybe just charging board replacement would help?
With liquid damage devices, the primary concern is backing up all important data first as regardless there is no knowing how long the device will decide to last in comparison to one that hasn't had liquid damage
It sounds like that there may be corrosion on the charge port connector board, be it either on the main board connector or the connector on the charge port connector board that connects to the main board, if you decide to replace the charge port then it has to be a one-to-one match for the carrier of the phone and model so that the cellular function remains functioning
if it still refuses to charge normally, then there is an issue with one of the power management ICs on the main board or a shorted capacitor
