I have a PS5 that someone ripped the fan header from the board. There is nothing left to solder to on one of the pads. The fan specs are 12V 2.4 amps. Do you know of an external variable speed controller I could use to manually power the internal fan or the specs that would be required to power this fan? I purchased a 12V 2amp controller but I only get a slight twitch from the fan when powered to maximum settings. I don't really have any options without the correct power specs needed.
The items purchased so far to no avail. I feel like I'm missing something fundamental here:

Thank you for any help or consideration you can offer!
Did you ever end up figuring this out? I have the same issue I need to find a way to power the fan with external power, I need a controller that can send a signal because with no signal the fan doesn’t spin
I wasn't able to power the fan externally. I managed to solder 2 of the wires back to the motherboard where the fan connector ripped off but the 3rd wire had no pad left to solder to. A helpful person on reddit showed me a gold square pad on the opposite side of the motherboard I could use to solder the PWM wire to but I don't know if you have this sort of situation. I've attached an image of the location to solder the PWM wire to. You may still be able to use an external power supply for the red and black wires but it's my thinking that the PWM must still be soldered to the motherboard to tell the fan how fast to go. I hope this helps.
