nintendo switch intermittent failure to power on, run

its a first gen switch hardware.  mostly, the system does nothing when you press the power button it doesn't cut on.  But you can see it start to power on, get the screen to turn on for half a second, and cut back off, if you are persistent with the power button.  leaving it plugged in a long time for an hour or two can get it to power on and seem to run fine.  One time after it had ran just fine and I used it for 2 minutes I pressed the power button and it was graphical anomalies artifacts all over the screen.  i bought it from someone who told me they replaced the lcd cable, which i don't think was a problem and was needlessly replaced.  i don't even want to open the console up to waste time because i don't have the microsoldering tools and experience.  what would northridge do to try to fix this and how much would they charge if i sent it over to them to fix it?  i am thinking i might sell it without repairing the problem.  thanks
