Hey everyone.
I just repaired a Nintendo switch that wasn't turning on by replacing P13usb. Everything works except the left joycon doesn't pair. When I slide the left joycon on the rail, it shows the symbol as connected, but the symbol on the bottom of the console screen shows it grayed out and isn't pairing when I connect it. I know the joycons do work as I have connected them successfully to 2 other consoles. I also tried taking it off the rail and pairing it in the joycon management and that didn't work either. I've completely reset the console hoping it was a software issue, but now I can't get past the part where I need to connect the joycons because the left side still doesn't pair.
Any help would be much appreciated as I haven't found any information on my particular issue.
So I found the issue. There was a previous repair attempt on this switch and apparently they messed up the left joycon zif connector. Is there a safe way to remove this connector and solder on a new one without melting the connectors around it or the new joycon connector?
