Hi everyone!

I’m working on an iPad 7th Gen that won’t turn on. When I connect it to a charger, it draws 0.47 amps. However, if I disconnect the battery, it draws 0 amps.

I’ve watched a few videos from Alex about this 0.47–0.5 amp draw issue, where the problem seems to be a short on the board. In those cases, the iPad still draws that current even with the battery disconnected. However, in my situation, the current drops to 0 when the battery is disconnected.

I’ve also checked the board using a thermal camera, but nothing seems to heat up. I tried measuring some random caps to look for shorts, but I haven’t found anything obvious.

I’m feeling a bit stuck—does anyone have suggestions on what else I could check or test?

Thanks in advance for your help!
