I have an hp EliteBook 840 but when i power it up it does power on but it doesn't have the backlight in the display, when i connect to the external display it displays properly and then the screen on the laptop also comes on, when i disconnect it from the external display then the inbuilt screen works for a certain time then it starts blinking then after a while it goes dark again, Please help.
