I have an Asus Vivobook X560UD laptop. No boot, black screen and no fan spin but the power indicator lights on when I press power button. I already sent it to a repair company but no fix. They said that it has something to do with the processor, most likely a short on the processor. I don't know what exactly cause the processor to short, when this laptop is used only in the office, its just a mild usage of it all the time. I want to know if anyone here had experience the same problem regardless of the brand and what did you do about it. Replacing the board is not yet my option because its very expensive here where I live.
Yes my Lenovo suddenly had this same problem..
Only usage i had from that point on was out of the 3 usb ports the ability to have 2 out of the 3 serving as output powerbank function. BUT... that reduced quickly to 1 followed by 0. And at this moment its not even charging at all anymore. Only sign of any life it gives is random led indicator flashes here and there when its connected to charger cable/adapter that i move around to make the random keekaaboo flash appear pffff....
