hi guys new to using pad strips and i have not verry steady hands i was just hoping the community would share some tips on positioning the smallest of pad strips accurateley as alex seem to postion them so easy some times i just have to touch one with my tweezer and they dissapear so if anybody has tips on accurate postioning and use of of pad strips such as iphone 7 and the tweezers make a difference on being more precise i hope people will spread the knowledge and help and fellow repairer thanks
Here is where a little flux may help. In cases where I have had this problem, I place a small bit of flux where the pad will be soldered and use the viscosity of the flux to help hold th strip in place. Once it is soldered to the wire or via, it can be moved slightly to align with a connector for example. The idea here is to have something assist in holding it in place that will not cause a problem later. Any flux will be removed when you solder the remainder of the patch.
Try that or drink less coffee... 🙂
