I'm looking for an equivalent component to the Onsemi NTMFD4C86N. I cannot find any U.S. domestic sources for this mosfet so if anyone can tell me what an equivalent might be, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

I've recently had a short appear on my MSI 1080 using these same MOSFETs. I've ordered this part from Digikey. As far as I can tell it appears to have a compatible pinout and as good or better specs, though it's not impossible I've missed something:

unless you linked to the wrong one, these 2 components have very different pinouts. I attached pictures of both.

Well, you're correct, and it's obvious now that I look at them. Not sure how I decided that these were compatible... Not enough sleep and/or coffee? Thanks for catching it.

I'll get back to searching and post back here if I find something else.

This pinout looks better. It's a bit confusing as it's showing an xray view down through the chip, rather than looking at it from the bottom, but the pin numbers and functions seem to match. Unfortunately the input capacitance is a good bit higher, and the turn on delay is longer.

Am I right in thinking that the max drain to source voltage only needs to cope with the 12V rail, so something like a 15V spec would be fine? The original part is specced at 30V, but it might reveal some more options if I can lower that criteria.

How does this look? Pinout is right, RDSon is lower, rise time is lower. V DS is 25V rather than 30, but should I care?
Seems like a good option, but I need to have a closer look at the contacts on the underside to check they won't touch anything they shouldn't.
