Hi evreyone,

I've 2 Brio webcams for me and my wife which we use on a daily basis for work.

a while back mine started acting out. i'm not sure if its because of the camera or my pc but my wife's camera showing the same symptoms when plugged to my PC.

Basically my computer would freeze after starting using the camera, and for some reason the white light stayed on even though i've hard reset my PC. there fore i've decided to unplug it (while the white light is on) and plug it back in, i've done this a few times and everything went back to normal.

unfortunately the last tie i did this the camera died. it wasn't being detected and didn't seem to work at all.

i've research and used GPT to help me with that. but the conclusion was that it died.

it's a pretty expensive camera and currently i can't afford to buy a new one.

I've disassembled it in order to see any obvious problem. but i did not find any. i've connected it to a usb charger just to see in the plug isn't broken and as far as i can tell i saw 5v in different places on the board when probing around with a multi meter.

besides that i' pretty lost and would appreciate any help with this.

i've soldering equipment and i don't mind trying to fix it myself.
